Meet First Lady Tahirih Erhabor-Russell

Early Life & Salvation
The youngest of six siblings, she cherishes the memories of her parents and family who enriched her early life. Through life’s trials and tribulations, she has learned to trust the Lord in all things. One of her guiding lessons has been: “When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go—He will teach you how to soar.”
First Lady Russell graduated with her Masters in 1995. Retired her work in the IT field as a Director of Organizational Development. She enjoyed a prosperous career in corporate America working for over 15 years in the Information Technology field where she also completed her Project Management degree.
She also taught Management Information systems classes at the University level for over 10 years and enjoyed being a realtor, which provided her with the opportunity to do interior design for the sale of homes. With a gift of resilience despite unforeseen circumstances that forced her into early retirement she has continued to be an instrument for the Lord. A belief that life is meant to be Celebrated because it is so precious! Not just Endured. Her faith is confident in what God word says and knows with authority of what is promised. Knowing we are mighty and victorious warriors of God! We are Loved, forgiven and Redeemed!
Life Journey & Marriage
In 2002, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her late husband of 20 years, Dr. Erhabor, who passed away in 2009. From their union, two children were born—Emanuel and Ariel. By God’s divine purpose, in 2013 she married Pastor Thomas Russell. Through this marriage she became part of a blended family with five children—TJ, Tyler, Taylor, Emanuel, and Ariel—along with daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
A remarkable note of their journey: both First Lady Russell and Pastor Russell lost their first spouses just 10 weeks apart, and their late spouses are buried near each other.
Ministry & Calling
First Lady Russell serves faithfully alongside her husband at Grace Temple. She is a prayer warrior, an anointed intercessor, and a powerful teacher. Compassionate and kind, she is known for her hugs, her warm spirit, and her ability to inspire others.
Her testimony of perseverance and faith makes her an example of what it means to be a “true worshiper” of Jesus Christ.
Family & Testimony
First Lady Russell treasures her blended family, her children, and her grandchildren. Though she has faced profound loss, her life is marked by resilience, gratitude, and joy.
